ABOUT US

Artists David and Nancy Allan founded Winslow Woodcarving Studio in 1996. Formerly educated as teachers, Nancy, a former art teacher, has many years as an artist and craftsperson. David, a former industrial arts teacher and university professor, has many years in woodworking. Both have been woodcarvers for the past ten years.

ABOUT THE STUDIO

Initially the studio offered hand carved residential signs and quickly moved to larger formats for cities and businesses. A majority of the work currently being done by the Winslow Woodcarving Studio (WWCS) is dimensional signage. In most cases, each finished piece is one-of-a-kind custom made to the customer’s needs.

WWCS prides itself as a carving studio that creates a diverse and broad variety of dimensional signage and carved artwork. The iconic nature of the visual/pictorial image — together with the textual image — reinforces quickly and clearly an easily remembered message.
